I am a lifelong educator and designer, and so I am naturally interested in the places where those two passions cross paths.
So, with Village Design I'm not simply making T-Shirts. I am trying to find small stories worth telling, whether that is the passion of a community for a neighbourhood park or uncovering the almost-lost history of local brands.
The memories of long-extinct soda brands and cereal boxes aren't just novelty - they are the flavour (excuse the pun) and colour rarely captured by history books. Logos, packaging, advertising - these sorts of images live and breathe in their natural habitat, in the public eye. On a T-Shirt, for example.
